再见,豆浆油条!这才是我心水的早餐

早餐有这么多选择,你知道吗?...



你每天早上吃什么?豆浆?包子?饭团?反正我是吃腻了。

早餐,一个对很多人来说可有可无的一餐。但是在西方,早餐可是极为重要的一餐,那么他们每天早上吃些什么呢?
BREAD 面包


面包对于歪果仁来说是极为重要的,可过面包的种类可真多。

Donut(甜甜圈)

A type of fried dough confectionery or dessert food. It is mostly prepared as a sweet snack. 甜甜圈是一种油炸的甜食,在国外,甜甜圈是小朋友的最爱。



French Bread(法式面包)

A long skinny loaf of French bread.世界上应该没有哪种面包可以与长棍面包相媲美了,法国人认为这种面包的味道是无法替代的,是上天赐予的。



Muffin玛芬蛋糕

一种西方非常受欢迎的点心。



还有:

Wheat Bread  (全麦面包),也叫whole grain bread. 

Croissant(牛角包)

Sweet Bun (甜餐包)

Bagel(百吉圈)

Rye Bread(黑麦面包)

White Bread (白面包)
Hot-for-Food 热食


Egg(鸡蛋)是全世界人们都非常喜欢的一种食物,让我们来看看西方国家是如果用鸡蛋为原料来演绎美食的。

当你点餐时,人家会问你How do you want your eggs?

Hard Boiled Egg/Soft Boiled Egg

这个就是大家经常吃的煮鸡蛋,大家需要注意的一点是,有的人喜欢吃流黄鸡蛋(soft-boiled eggs,it is often cooked 3-7 mins)。有的人偏向全熟煮鸡蛋(hard-boiled eggs)。如果吃流黄煮鸡蛋时,西方人会使用egg cup(蛋杯),sometimes called egg served, is a container used for serving boiled eggs within their shell. 



Fried Egg(煎蛋)

  • Sunny-Side-Up-Eggs(太阳蛋/单面煎蛋)
The egg is fried just on one side. The yolk(蛋黄) is completely liquid and the whites on the surface are barely set. 



  • Over-easy Eggs(半熟双面煎蛋)
It means that it gets fried on both sides, but the yolk stays sunny.



  • Over-hard Eggs(全熟双面煎蛋)
A fried egg turned over and cooked until the yolk is solid. It is likely that the whites will have taken on some brown crispiness(酥脆), especially along the edges(边缘).

Omelette(西式蛋饼)

Poached Eggs(水煮嫩蛋)

Pancake(薄烤饼)

一种以面糊在烤盘或平底锅上烹饪制成的薄扁状饼,主要搭配syrup(糖浆),主要有两种,一种是普通的syrup,另一种是sugar free syrup,对于个性化分配,国外还是非常细致的。



Waffle(华夫饼)

一种烤饼,源于比利时,烤盘上下两面呈格子状,一凹一凸,把倒进去的面糊压出格子来,吃的时候可以配上syrup,搭配很灵活,或者Waffles with Berry Compote, 上面先是凃一层奶油,然后放一些compote berry,口感那是极好的。



Oatmeal Porridge(燕麦粥)

燕麦粥对于一个寒冷冬天的清晨是一个非常好的选择. 

Oatmealis one of those foods everyone thinks is super healthy.



Side Dish(配菜): sometimes referred to as a side order, side item, is a food item that accompanies(搭配) the main course(主菜) at a meal. Such as potatoes, salad, vegetables and bread are commonly used with main course.

Harsh browns(薯饼)

马铃薯饼也是早餐里面经常会有的一个配餐,外表金黄酥脆,里面是加工处理过的土豆丁,做成长方形状或圆饼状.

BACONS 培根


Bacon is prepared  from several different cuts of meat. It is usually made from side and back cuts of pork.

American-style bacon(美式培根)

This bacon is cut from the belly(肚子) of the pig and it is cured in salt(用盐熏制的) and then smoked. 



Pancetta(意大利烟熏肉)

Italian-style bacon cured with peppercorns(干胡椒), salt,and cloves(丁香),pancetta is packaged in a roll similar to sausage and sold by the slice.



Rashers(欧式培根)

It is a common style in Europe, specifically the United Kingdom, and is cut from a different part of the pig than American-style bacon. 

相比其他国家品牌培根,大部分歪果仁更喜欢吃煎的比较脆些的培根,像rashers和Pancetta.

SAUSAGE 香肠


Hotdog(热狗)

It usually is a cooked sausage, grilled and served in a sliced bun. 

热狗最早从德国流行起来,也被称为Frankfurters.



Chorizo西班牙腊肠

可以切片搭配早餐面包,也可以搭配蒜黄做下酒菜,西班牙腊肠主要成分是pork and paprika(红椒粉),香气四溢,用于炒饭再适合不过了。



Kabanos

A Polish long thin dry sausage made of pork. They are smoky in flavor. 

一种波兰香肠,烟熏味道。



Baked Beans in Tomato Sauce(焗豆)

In Ireland and the United Kingdom, a tomato and sugar sauce is most commonly used, and they are commonly eaten on toast or as part of a full English breakfast.

下方这张图片就是比较流行的吃法叫做“baked beans over scrambled eggs on toast”。



Cheesy Baked Tomatoes(芝士番茄)

This is a wonderful side dish(配菜) to any meal.

芝士首选是mazzarella cheese(马苏里拉芝士). It containes low calories and it is delicious and healthy. 烤的时间大概是15分钟.



Mushroom

炸蘑菇也是国外早餐配餐中的一部分,下图是一张Irish Full Breakfast,里面都有sausage, harsh browns, bacon, black pudding,mushroom, sunny-side-up-egg, beans,一般还会配几片toasts and a glass of orange juic or a cup of coffee,非常丰盛。

COLD CUT冷盘


Smoked Salon(烟熏鲑鱼)

酒店自助早餐里面常见的一种餐点,一般就是把生鲑鱼肉用以生火烟熏至半熟,常见配料就是olive(橄榄), onion(洋葱), lemon(柠檬).



Salami(萨拉米香肠)

Salami is a type of cured sausage consisting of fermented(发酵的) and air-dried(风干的) meat, typically beef or pork.

萨拉米是欧洲尤其是南欧民众喜爱食用的一种腌制肉肠,不经过任何烹饪、只经过发酵和风干程序。一般这种肉需要储存在常温环境中长达40天,大家在外面吃的一些pizza上面的toppings(披萨上面的配料)和sandwich就有salami。



Ham

火腿,一般选用猪后腿肉,比较有名的像英国的York Ham(约克火腿), Virginia Ham(美国维珍妮亚火腿), Parma Ham(意大利帕尔玛火腿) 以及Jamón serrano(西班牙生火腿),这些都非常有名在世界上,尤其西班牙生火腿,强烈推荐,配上一杯红酒特别美味。



Roast Beef

一般是选用牛眼肉,烹饪时间最关键。

Roast in oven for 60 minutes (20 minutes perpound). Remove from oven, cover loosely with foil(锡纸), and let rest for 15 to 20 minutes(让之冷却15-20分钟).



Turkey

除了在Thanks Giving, Christmas, New Year’s Eve上会吃Turkey,一些酒店自助早餐里也会包含这道菜。

Turkey contains more protein(蛋白质) than other meats becasue the white meat of Turkey is considered healthier than dark meat. 因为人们普遍认为火鸡的这种白肉要远远比那些红肉健康.

CHEESE 奶酪


芝士大家肯定都不陌生,披萨,意面,很多西餐里面都会有,给大家介绍一下芝士的种类可供大家以后参考品尝。

Asiago Cheese

An Italian’s cow’s milk cheese.



Blue Cheese(蓝芝士) 

It is a general classification of cow's milk, sheep's milk, or goat's milk cheeses. The flavor is a bit of salty. 

通过蓝莓和凝乳均匀混合,味道比较浓烈,有点咸。



Cheddar Cheese

Originated in the village of Cheddar, England. Canadian cheddars are smoother, creamier, and are known for their balance of flavor and sharpness. Cheddars vary in flavor depending on the length of aging and their origin.



Feta Cheese(羊奶干酪)

One of the oldest cheeses in the world and is said to be a product from Greece. is made from sheep milk if a mixture of sheep and goat milk. More recently cow's milk has been used. Feta is white in color, is a bit sour to the taste and rich in aroma. 这种奶酪味道比较浓有些酸。



Goat Cheese(山羊奶酪)



Olives(橄榄)

You have dozens of varieties of olives to choose from, each with a different shape, size, and color.

和水果不同的是,橄榄都是pitted fruit(无核的水果),而且是从树上开花结出来的果实,需要处理加工后才可食用,否则味道会比较苦。大家最常见的一种橄榄就是Cerignola,也就是我们经常吃到的green and black olives。绿橄榄口感比较柔,有植物的味道。 而黑橄榄flesh(果肉)又软又甜,而且果核比较容易剔除。



Cereal Station(麦片) Cereal

国外麦片种类特别多,一般都是泡牛奶吃。

牛奶是西方每天摄取的食物之一,对他们来说非常重要,主要分为三类:

American Coffee

一般早餐,人们每天都会喝一杯美式咖啡,配上一些面包。



English Breakfast Tea(英式早茶)

It is one of the most popular blended teas and the most common form of tea in British tea culture.



Apple, Orange, Pineapple, Grapefruit, Prune and Cranberry Juice
